Came here by accident, left with a full belly. Excellent food. Great atmosphere.

Great little place. Warm and inviting atmosphere with hometown vibe. Loved the witty banter between customers, cook and waitress. Food was good and priced right. Looking forward to visiting their bar one weekend to enjoy live bands or possibly karaoke on Thursdays. There are even cabins and rooms for rent w/ a complimentary breakfast. Would be an awesome place for a staycation.

This place is awful. We booked this place because of the pool we thought the kids would have fun. I paid at the front and I asked about the pool location. The woman looked at me and said it was green but was safe to swim in just discolored. We then started walking to our room and saw the pool on the way. The pool was absolutely disgusting and slimy GREEN. I would never have let anyone swim in that water. I kindly went back to the desk and asked for our deposit back because the whole reason I booked here was the pool. The woman at the desk called a manager and came back and said it was green but it was completely safe to swim in and they would not refund me even before I got to our room. The cabin was gross, dirty linen. I went back again to the desk again and said I am not staying here and would like my money back. The people were giving me the biggest attitude and dirty looks, I've never seen anything like this before in my life. Also, they refused to let me speak to a manager and he/she was on the phone. After about 2 and a half hours I finally got help, not from a worker, but from someone who overheard my situation and used to work there. He called the owner for me to help me. I was literally almost in tears I was so upset. I have never been treated like this at a place of business in my entire life. This place is a nightmare. Stay far away. Posted a pic for reference. That is the pool that they were telling me was perfectly safe for three young children (5 and under) to swim in. We drove up 6 hours to Maine to visit family with 3 young children, these people quite literally ruined it and put a huge damper on our vacation. I would have and I tried to walk away politely and quietly but they absolutely refused to give me my deposit back, again stating this pool was perfectly safe for our family.

I went with a large party to the Bears Den for lunch. I ordered a Turkey Sandwich and received a huge portion considering how cheap the food was, however the sandwich was just OK and I felt I could make the same meal at home. This sentiment was shared by our whole group. In general the food somewhat cheap, tasted just okay, and we had friendly and attentive servers. I would recommend stopping by for the atmosphere and the friendly staff!

Delightful little place to stop after a busy day. The fried mushroom appetizer is tasty and more than enough for a group of 4. The service was excellent, dinner was ready and at our table within a few minutes of finishing the appetizer. The baked stuffed haddock and grilled chicken were delicious. We enjoy stopping here Ethernet we are in the area.
